You can rock up & enter on race day.  Just show up at leastan hour before your race to register & get ready.

the 50k cycle and the 18k fun run starts at 11am

the 25k cycle 'downhill' with a bus back starts at 11:30am

the 18k cycle starts at 12 noon.

The Raetihi Gutbuster (April 21st, Easter Sunday) is a fun way to experience the scenery and history of the Raetihi - Pipiriki road that lies between the Tongariro and Whanganui National Parks.

Starting outside the Waimarino Museum in Raetihi, it's an out & back course with options to suit most.  The 18k has been completed by a 6 year old, even though it has a sharp 2k climb before the turnaround. The 50k is hotly contested by locals & out-of-towners, even though it's a 'fun ride'.

The road is sealed all the way.

The 25km 'downhill' option, is strictly limited to 20 riders, so don't delay.  This option allows you to ride down to Pipiriki and experience the road (there are still some big hills), with the luxury of getting a bus back.  This option is not timed, and the bus leaves once the last rider has arrived, so take some money to buy an icecream while you wait.

For those who prefer feet to bikes, we have an 18km fun run. It follows the same course as the 18k bike ride and is a challenge to all runners - amateur or very serious.

Great Spot Prizes include a Railcar trip with Forgotten World Adventures, bike rental and services, and ski tickets and accommodation at one of the South Islands best Ski areas, Mt Dobson!

Start / Finish area at the Museum has a market day atmosphere and the spot prizes are plentiful.
